McWane encourages wellness through walking
Employees stepped outside on April 27 for National Walk at Lunch Day, joining organizations across the country in promoting workplace wellness and physical activity.
The annual event, held on the last Wednesday in April, encourages employees to incorporate exercise into their workday by taking a walk during their lunch break. Health experts recommend at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity each week, and events like this help employees take steps towards that goal.
McWane Ductile – Ohio and McWane Poles had 31 employees participate in the event, some forming small groups that circled nearby streets and green spaces and others taking time to walk even while traveling on business.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to support employee health and foster a positive workforce culture at McWane.
