McWane Ductile lends a helping hand to the next generation of engineers
McWane Ductile recently partnered with Lehigh University's Engineering program to assist with student's 2026 capstone project. The team's project featured an AI camera system for nondestructive visual inspection that will help detect defects in ductile pipe.
Building the backbone of our nation’s infrastructure requires strength, resilience and a forward-thinking approach. The collaboration between Lehigh University and McWane Ductile brought an interdisciplinary team of students together to deliver innovative insights that help support the critical water and wastewater systems our communities rely on.
Thank you to McWane Ductile team members Anthony Browne, Lucas Micci, Jason Trimmer and Tim Matthews for their collaboration and exceptional mentorship of students Adam Zimmerman, Jay Raics, Joshua Swavely and Ryan Kramer, providing a high impact experiential learning opportunity.
Together, Lehigh University and McWane Ductile are developing the next generation of engineers, business leaders and industrial innovators.
