Amerex kicks off new school year
Amerex kicked off the new school year with programs to support teachers and students.
For the third year in a row, Amerex offered backpacks filled with school supplies for grandchildren and children of team members. The HR team packed 250 backpacks with basic back-to-school supplies for Team Members this year to get their year off to a positive start.
They also held a contest with classrooms in area school systems to donate a monetary award to assist in a classroom makeover for the 2024-2025 school year. Teachers filled out an application where they shared l information about how the award will be used in the classroom for the upcoming school year. The room makeover criteria included paint, carpet, tile, furniture and interior decorative items or supplies not provided by the school. Entrants included before pictures and were requested to take the after photos. Winners were selected based on described work ethic, dedication to students, and originality of teacher’s approach to teaching.
